Online movies - The next big thing?

Will watching online movies be the next big thing? Users are getting broadband lines which have increased speeds from the pitiful days of dial up and they are now looking at watching movies on the internet. It will mean lesser revenue for the DVD sellers and retail shops but I like it because it will mean less E-garbage. Less DVDs, CDs and other electronic clutter. And every thing is digital. So like e-cards reduced the number of cards being sent and in a way saved paper, I think Online movies will also do the same? Whatdya think?

It also saves the shipping and couriering charges of the company and obviously end sup as a discount to the customer. YouTube and the million other video sites were the precursor to this developmwnt and of course better Internet access.

In fact I have heard a few countries like Korea and even Japan have pre-planned their telecom networks so that the internet access is of a high quality and it currently betters what citizens of US and Europe have. In fact they use it to play games, besides high speed download for movies and stuff.
